Other than massage, what's your favorite self-care routine?

Exercising! Or on sleepy days, body-scan meditation.

what's your favorite thing about living and working in NYC.

Probably that this city has the highest concentration of super-talented, funny, weirdo freaks of anywhere I've ever been.

What kind of client makes you really excited to give a massage?

I love working with sensitive people who respond well to slow, deliberate bodywork, who can play a slightly active role by breathing into the spots that need the most attention. I've noticed that artists and yogis often fall into this category, but it can definitely be anyone!

Best thing about being a massage therapist?

I feel like everyone says this, but getting to help people feel better every day that I work really is such a beautiful gift that I try not to take for granted. Also the flexible schedule :)

What do you do to unwind and relax? 

Playing music and singing is super cathartic and rejuvenating for me, both home alone, and out with other people.

Favorite season? 

Summer!

Where's your favorite place to eat in Brooklyn?

Oasis Falafel in Williamsburg has a special place in my heart.

What was the last really great book you read?

This feels embarrassingly basic, but I just read Sally Rooney's Normal People, and I really couldn't put it down, it's so beautifully written and the characters are so vivid and relatable.

What’s one halloween costume you’re particularly proud of?

It was a group costume. Standing alone it maybe didn’t look like much of a costume but when all six of us stood together we were a SUSHI ROLL.

WHAT'S ONE THING YOU WISH EVERYONE KNEW BEFORE THEY GOT THEIR FIRST MASSAGE?

That they are the boss! No one should ever feel bad about asking to adjust the pressure or give feedback/ask questions of any kind.
