Covid-19 Updated Policies/Procedures

the presence of Covid-19 in our community has posed many challenges to the safety and success of our massage practice. we have explored and researched tirelessly to develop protocols that meet our new standards of safety and mitigate the risks of receiving massage during this time. our plans can only be successfully executed with the cooperation and support of everyone that walks through Melt’s door. to ensure the safest environment possible, we ask that you thoroughly read through our updated policies and adhere to them at all times during your visit. Your safety and the safety of the Independent Lmts that call melt home means everything to us. so we thank you!

Health screening:

  • Clients will fill out an online screening questionnaire upon booking their appointment and they will be pre-screened the day before or the morning of their appointment via phone. If any alarming symptoms are reported, the appointment will be canceled/rescheduled.

  • Clients will not be permitted to come inside the space until all pre-appointment documentation has been filled out and submitted. 

  • Clients' temperature will be taken when they arrive at Melt and anyone with a temperature of over 100 °F degrees will be sent home. (LMTs may, at their discretion, postpone or cancel the session for any temperature over 99 °F or other flu-like symptoms.)

Cancellation & Payment

  • Covid-19-Related Cancellations: We have relaxed our 24-hour cancellation policy when it comes to reasons related to Covid-19. If a client feels at any point before the start of their appointment that they have become a potential risk, they will not be charged for canceling. We ask that clients let us know as soon as issues arise out of respect for the therapist.
    All other Cancellations: If you must cancel for any non-sickness reason, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice. If you notify us within 24 hours, we charge a $50 fee unless we are able to rebook your appointment slot with another client. If you do not give us any notice and therefore no opportunity to rebook your LMT with another client, the fee will be $100.

  • All payments take place online - clients have the option of prepaying or Melt’s virtual desk will charge them the day of their session.

  • We encourage tipping via Venmo so that there is less handling of paper bills. A poster with all LMTs Venmo codes will be posted in the front of Melt and we will also send clients an email with your therapist's Venmo code the day of your session. 
     

Your Visit:

  • We ask that clients arrive 5 minutes before their appointment time and not any earlier to avoid overlap. We have staggered all appointments so that when timing is adhered to, clients should only have to interact with their LMT.

  • Clients are required to wear a mask throughout their entire visit.

  • We ask that upon arriving, clients adhere to a temperature check and then immediately wash their hands in the restroom or use sanitizer that is stationed throughout the space.

  • Clients will enter through the front door and exit through the back door so there is one flow of traffic.

  • Because of the extra time LMTs need to disinfect their room between clients and to eliminate possibility of any client overlap, sessions need to start and end exactly on time.

  • Please limit conversation during the session to minimize respiratory droplets getting dispersed in the air.
