2-class Intensive: June 3 & June 10
This course is designed for expectant moms and their partners. Whether planning to birth in hospital, birthing center, or home, we hope to inspire our participants to enter labor and early parenting with confidence and the most current research-based information available. Our classes will focus on issues surrounding childbirth (the physiological, mental and emotional) rather than promoting any particular method for giving birth. Our classes are hands-on and engaging. Participants can expect to hear short lectures, view video clips, discuss in groups, practice comfort measures for labor, diaper a baby (doll), enjoy light refreshments during breaks, and more!
Developed for Melt and led by Laura Collins (LCSW, CEA/MNY-trained childbirth educator and mama) and Naima Beckles (Lamaze-trained childbirth educator, doula and mama).
Note: This series can be purchased on its own or as a package with the Breastfeeding & Newborn Care class, one prenatal massage, and three prenatal yoga classes.
Payment & Policies
Classes must be paid in full at the time of reservation and are non-refundable. Credit is available for cancellations with at least 48 hours' notice and can be used toward any Melt service.
In the event that we have only one registrant signed up for a course, the design will switch from a two-class series to a one-class private session taking place on the first Sunday of that month's offering. If at that time, the following month already has additional participants, the registration can also be transferred.
